Warm and Snuggly Rag Quilt
#1
I finished this flannel rag quilt last week for myself (when the cats not on it...LOL). It measures 50 x 80 and I used 10" squares. I also left a 1" seam for cutting. I've made rag quilts before using homespun and just hated cutting the seams because my thumb and forefinger would hurt so bad. Well, I finally sprung for a pair of rag quilt scissors when Joann's had a 50% off coupon and they are the best "tool" I've gotten for myself in a long time!
I washed the quilt the other day so you can see the "pils" on it but it's for me so I don't really care. Hope you like it :)

I recently received my order for 10" squares - I'm so excited about using them. Thanks for sharing your warm and cuddly quilt - my husband just had knee replacement surgery and needs one now! So, those scissors really work? Need those too!
Confused about one thing though. Haven't used 10" before. You said you left 1" seams to be cut. If I use 5 columns and 8 rows, and leave a 1" seam, wouldn't it end up being smaller than 50 x 80 (depending on seam size)?
Thanks for giving me the idea! How much batting did you use, and what kind of backing?
