I won a gift certificate to Spider Web fabrics in the last online hop. They are a great shop. Fast service and a LOT of buy one get one sales. Here is my warm wishes in process. The top is done, just needs bordered and then the final pics. Planning on machine quilting on the diagonal in the strip set blocks.

I've never made a Warm Wishes before. I seriously messed up on my math, so the outer two strips are different widths all over the place, but the recipient won't know that. I love how fast it went together and thank all the quilter's who helped me with tips from theirs.

Here are the fabs making up the quilt. A pretty muslic colored background with pink, green, teal, yellow and purple cats in various cartoon poses. The strips sets are a solid teal, an aqua with teal swirls, and a pink with white polka dots. I got a yellow to border it with and the back is going to be a DEEP purple with lilac colored swirls.

Strip sets, and the two blocks:

And here's the top. It's about 56 inches square.

Nice job. I like this pattern and it is fun to make. Love the colors; reminds me of spring (wishful thinking). Thank you for sharing.

I just printed the pattern and instructions off a couple of nights ago. Not sure when I will make one. I am working on a triple around the world, I think I will be making 2 as I on purpose cut out 2 instead of cutting fabrics in half.

I'm sure it's one of the reasons I know my friend will know I love her. I am not a cat lover, I'm not even a cat liker really. But to know that I picked out fabric with "cute" cats on them just for her...she'll know exactly how special she is to me.

She calls me a daughter by another mother, I wish I had a nice reciprocal phrase to call her. She is like a surrogate mom to me. She knew my mother and we started bonding big time the last year and a half of my mother's life. She's always sending my children little trinkets and is so close to me. She's had an awful winter and it's taken a toll on her body and spirit. The name Warm Wishes is exactly what I'm sending her...the cats are just icing on the cake. She LOVES cats. Has 3 and decorates her home with a lot of cat things.
