I made it to my LQS today. I have fabric to play with! YAY!!!!!!

Both projects are for wedding gifts. Wallhangings/tabletoppers/whatever they want to use it for.
Using "Thinking Outside the Block" pattern. Wanted to design it to represent the union of the bride & groom, but in a more modern way.

I'll post updates as I make progress on them. Have to be ready for April 12th & April 30th weddings, so I hope they go together quickly.

ETA: Wanted to say that both of the prints that will be the center squares I bought here from fellow QB members.

Beautiful fabrics. Can't wait to see the finished wall hangings. I have this pattern too. Fun to see the variations on the fabrics used for it.

So I'm having some trouble with the colors of the fabrics I chose for the first wallhanging. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-111333-1.htm
Which does not surprise me at all. As soon as I got word that the Groom's fave color was Green & the Bride's was Teal I had a feeling this was going to be a challenge to pull off. The colors look great together in the print I found, but having a hard time getting them to look co-hesive when pulled out for the rows in the log cabin blocks used to make the Thinking Outside the Block pattern.

Waiting to get to the fabric store so I can change out that light green color. Had to work late last night (10pm) & stores were long closed by the time I got off. Hopefully tonight works. I am getting impatient & just want to sew!
