WIP's (Rein, here's the Tennessee Waltz)
#1
Just to keep me honest (in other words, to keep me from starting umpteen new projects!) these are my WIP's at the moment. The Tennessee Waltz I'm doing quilt-as-you-go the way Nancy Zieman does it - the big motif in the snowball blocks is a machine embroidery design, and I am stippling in the background of the stars. In the background of that picture is the snowflake made from half square triangles I designed for DH's blue fabrics - after the Boyz' tails got to it  Gotta put it back together. I did manage to get a pic of it while it was still on the design wall (thank goodness!) This snowflake is to test the design; his will be bigger, and will be the center of his quilt. The last is a throw I'm working on for one of my sons, made with 2 Kansas Troubles Cranberry Wishes charm packs - I'm undecided on adding another, darker border to it.
I got reimbursed for the repairs to my machine yesterday (yea!) - and promptly ordered 32 1/2 yards of fabric (so far) - so keep me honest and don't let me start anything else except more fabric storage!

Tennessee Waltz in Progress - 2 more rows to add, then borders!

Cranberry Wishes charm packs throw - I plan to quilt holly leaves in the background spaces.

Loretta, the snowflake is all half square triangles and solid pieces so it's much easier than it looks. Set in seams and I don't even have a nodding acquaintance  DH owes me - I used the coordinating fabrics to my Santa panel to test the pattern, and he liked it so much he's commandeered them!
I just played with my software until I had something that I thought resembled a snowflake - I'm leaving the rest up to him
