For now, both are at pasture in my family room on walls cornering to each other beside my patio doors, so they can look out in to the bush. I thought it was good to have the original photo there for others to see for comparison. They may do some rotational grazing into my office at times.

Can you tell me how big you enlarged it before you drew the grids?

This is a project I finished this winter. I recognize it's a little different subject matter, and certainly not one for everyone to like.
I started with a photo, enlarged it on a photocopier and drew a 1" grid on it. All the pieces in the pieced version are 1" finished, though each of those might have had several seams if the colours landed that way.
I took it to be stretched as after all this work, I didn't want to learn on this one, and risk ruining it! It's about 24"x27".
For comparison, I'm posting both the original photo and my pieced work.

It sure was something I did not work at when my brain was not in gear!!! Easy in some ways, hard in others. Had to have my wits about me so as not to destroy things!
Keeping all those green squares going in the right direction was sometimes as much difficulty as doing the B+Ws. I did sections and joined them. Sometimes long rows, sometimes a section, such as the leg or udder.
