It's a 15. Those are the only Singer models to have the tension on the faceplate. If it's got a treadle, it's a 15-89, if it has a belt, it's a 15-90, and if it is gear driven (no belt) it is a 15-91. I have a 15-91 and they will sew through ANYTHING. It's a great machine if you are going to make bags, or anything with thick seams.
Congrats on both.
Congrats on both.

I learned to sew on my mother's Free Westinghouse. It was a great machine. When I married, my mother gave me a machine that looked exactly like it, but it was labeled 'New Home'. Or maybe I have it backwards - anyway, both machines sewed well. Congratulations on your bargains.

Good deal! I picked up a Singer 15-91 and a 66-16 both on CL last month for a great price also. I love the 15-91. I would watch Craigslist for a Commercial Singer. In my area there are always several listed at a great price.
