? about My keyboard not working on QB
Is anyone else having this problem: This just started about two days ago. I can't get the enter key to take me to a new line of writing. Some times it is nice to separate thoughts or lists so it doesn't all run together and is more readable. The enter key works with every other program. Is it something new to the QB? Did I do something unknowingly to my PC that turns the enter key off? Can that even be done? Thanks for any info. peace

What browser are you using, IE? Some websites are still not 64 bit compatible yet, which could explain your issue. Since IE 10 is a true 64 bit browser, try using Chrome or FireFox and see if you still have the issue.

if it is cordless try a new battery.
You can also click on the start button lower left
Open the control panel
Look around at the list and open keyboard
See if there are any options there that might cure the problem.
If it is just the enter key giving problems it probably has a cracker crumb under it
Or gotten some sticky drink on it. Just pry it off (turn off the computer) and clean there.
I blow my keyboard out about once a week because we live in a very dusty environment.
Good luck

DH just told me my PC just upgraded itself to IE 10 with all the other regular upgrades it does all the time two days ago. This has been happening since then. I tried everything that has been suggested to no avail so far. Thanks for giving this old dog some new ideas to try. Maybe there is a limit to how many times the key can be used. HA-HA Thanks again. I hope someone can solve this quirk. peace

I found this advice on the Microsoft website:
Some websites may have been designed for earlier versions of Internet Explorer. Try to view the website in Compatibility View.If Internet Explorer recognizes that the webpage isn't compatible, you'll see the Compatibility View button on the Address bar. Try clicking it.
In Compatibility View, websites will be displayed as if you were viewing them in a previous version of Internet Explorer, which will often correct display problems. You don’t need to click the button for a site after you’ve done it once—the next time you visit the site, Internet Explorer will automatically show it in Compatibility View.

Before you start to type, click on the A/A to the left - it allows you to enter returns. The A/A to the right just makes everything one paragraph. Enter key won't work with that one.
