2015 Fabric Moratorium
#1061
Martina - that's wonderful you've found so much to work in your stash. It's really nice when that happens. I know there's times I'm pleased when what I have in my stash works for something I want to make. I know it has more to do with going to the store than actually buying fabric . (or I wouldn't be on the moratorium)

You don't want to go on opening day. Too crowded, too much confusion, not fun at all.

Trying to come up with some pearl of wisdom for you tk but struggling here (probably why I've fallen off the wagon too many times ). Agree with Martina with the crowding on opening day (that is if you don't like crowds).
We're about shopping your stash first and no purchases just for stash but if you have projects in mind..... (yep I'm shameless)

Here is my plan such as it is. I have a white that I didn't buy enough of for the Star Flower Quilt so I want to get it. Then they will have the teachers there with their class projects. There are a couple that sound interesting but I want to see who is teaching them and what the project actually looks like. If I stick to just those things I will consider myself still on the wagon. What do you think?

Mad how much fun did you have celebrating?
Emma, nice purchase, and it's not fabric........have fun we want to see your progress.
tk, doing the self discipline dance.......
Hi all I'm still on the wagon, but perhaps I stuck out my foot and dragged it in the dust just a little.......calla
Well thinking about it that statement is sort of like a little bit pregnant .....am or am not....so I guess I did tumble a bit.

TK/Calla: Sensing a little waffling here but alas no details. How can we come up with a verdict if we don't get a description of the possible crime. Needless to say, I've been very good. Its easy to be good when you've shocked yourself with your own extravagance. Can honestly say I haven't even been tempted.

Ok..I fell off the wagon but I really didn't. Make sense? Signed up for a class in October making a bright colors star quilt and needed some bright zingy colors so went with FQ's. I had my gift cert. from my kids so used that. So if I needed something that I didn't have in my stash..it doesn't count. Plus I have an order to make 2 doz. tissue holders but buyer wants bright colors so can use my purchase for that, too. Plus for the class, we are doing a 4 FQ exchange so I can make all of those things count as not 'really' falling off. :-) Here is pic of what is planned. Picture does not do the colors justice. It is a class by Carole Liezbiet.
