elly66. That cute bear took a while to put together...see you did "need" that off the wagon fabric...

I used a FQ but walked away with 20 yards of fabric - oops. Went in for Christmas fabric to work on a quilt. At least I got the Christmas fabric too. Only wished the mouth would have shown up more on the quilt. Oh well - if it was perfect it means someone else made it

I stayed on the wagon today. I did run into the fabric warehouse store and got two packages of Schmetz sewing machine needles that were 50% off this week. I didn't even go into the quilt store only a block away. I knew I would be tempted. I took a coupon along to stop at the new Hobby Lobby store, but I told Bo, the black lab that we should get some hamburgers and head home. It was getting warm for him to sit out in the truck. So I made it home without any fabric! I guess I just have to stay out of the stores. My girlfriend teased me I should have taken time in the fabric warehouse to at least look at the newest fabrics and pet them. I told her that I had Bo along to pet, but it just isn't the same as petting fabric.

I love your bear quilt. It is so cute. I saved it, my DD is a huge teddy bear fan. Someday she will have a baby and I can make it for her. I am going on my own shop hop today with a friend. I need to be strong. I will make a few purchases, I just hope I don't go nuts. One of the shops we are going to is mostly batiks and another has some really unique fabrics.

You have done great. from 2 rooms to 1 is fantastic.
I bought a Mt. Fuji Panel yesterday. I really love the asian quilts that were popular a few years ago where you had a large panel beside 3 smaller panels. I hope to do something like that with it. What I'll do with the second panel I'm not at all sure.

hoprigmom - way to stay strong. And when Bo isn't quite enough to pet, there's always your stash to go pet too!
tkhooper - sounds like you already know what you're doing with the panels. I think they're beautiful too. Can we call the second panel a spare? That way you're not off the wagon
meanmom - have fun on your shop hop. I know the temptation but being with a good friend is fun - it would be worth the temptation I think.

Went to Joann's yesterday to pick up a June Tailor Quarter Cut ruler! Doing some serious scrap container cut downs so I can get on with projects.
