Amish Banana Bread

This is from the cookbook Heritage Country Harvest.
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 bananas (mashed
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, banannas, spices and flour.
Place in loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 60 min.
Optional: nuts
