Cheese Sandwich Spread
Cheese Sandwich Spread
*1 T. Sugar mixed with 1 T. flour in heavy saucepan
*Whisk 1 egg in small bowl and then add 1/2 cup cream. Whisk again to mix & add to dry ingredients
*Add 3 T. Vinegar & 1 T. Butter
*Dash of salt (I omit salt)
Bring to boil, stay with it to stir all the time. It will thicken then add 1/2 lb Velveeta cheese (cubed up) while hot. Stir until smooth. When cool, add minced onion (dried is ok) to taste, 2 hard boiled eggs (chopped) and 1 small jar pimento (chopped & drained on paper towel).
One of my very old recipes. I made this today and have Rhodes Texas size buns ready for the oven.

I know what I'm having for supper tonight! Might have to have it with a bowl of chili, too! My area is under a winter weather advisory so this will be a good warmer upper! Go figure. In April and after Easter-- some areas up to 8" of snow/rain/sleet/crap with high winds. Thanks for the recipe.
