Cinnamon Allergy
I'm not much of a cook or a baker, but I love pumpkin baked goods. The problem is, the store bought stuff all has cinnamon, which I'm allergic to. I want to make a pumpkin quick bread. If I leave out the cinnamon in this recipe should I replace it by increasing the other spices or maybe adding all spice or just leave it out? Thanks!
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned into measuring cup and leveled-off
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1-1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 15-oz can 100% pure pumpkin (I use Libby's)

I did a search and happened across https://www.livestrong.com/article/5...c-to-cinnamon/
I did find a few other references that indicated that when using allspice as a substitute that you should reduce the amount of allspice.
