I am and my posting under Christmas Bread braids refers to my mother-in-law braiding pullah...(not sure if that is how it is spelled.. pronounced bull - law. She was a whiz at it..and my hubby still remembers using it to dunk in his coffe..He calls it (gustah). He spoke Finn before he spoke English. I do not speak it fluently.. just know a few words.. I made pasties last night...Houskaa Jouluah.

My husband is 1/2 Finnish and I have his Aunt's Cardamom recipe that his mother gave me. I make it every Christmas and my son just loves it! I'm 1/2 Norweigian and there are recipes from Norway that also have Cardamom in them. It seems the Scandanavians use it a lot in their breads/sweets.
