Fresh Lemonade
#1
Several years ago, I was in a farmer's market in Pennsylvania. A little stand offered fresh lemonade by the glass. The lady squeezed a lemon into the glass and filled it with sweetened water. I went home and made my version. Here it is.
4 quarts water
1 1/2 cups sugar
Bring this to a boil, cool and store in the fridge. The water will keep a long time chilled.
When you want some lemonade, squeeze 1 lemon into a large glass, add some ice and fill with the sweetened water. A lemon and lime mixture is good too.
