I have the best little plastic doohickey to reheat cake, bread, etc. It has 3 parts, put small amount of water in bottom piece, place cake/bread in strainer like piece and put domed top on. Heat in microwave based on item. Tastes just like fresh made. I like to reheat subway type sandwiches in it. They don't get too hard or tough.

I made some soft oatmeal cookies and left them in the oven too long after shutting off the heat, so they came out crispy. But put one in the microwave for 10 sec. and it is soft again!! What did we do before microwaves!!
