Recipe needed
My husband is a bus driver and one of the families gave him some christmas food that is delicious. It looked like a graham cracker with toffee topping and chocolate. I have a feeling it is a very easy recipe and was wondering if anyone knows what this could be. It is very, very addicting also. Thanking anyone in advance that can help me out. This looked like something that may have been put on a baking pan and then broken up like peanut brittle.

Could it be the the graham toffee bar recipe? I am doing these r Christmas but without the chocolate. The recipe is super easy and they are delicious.Graham Toffee Bars
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar.
Boil these together for 3-4 minutes. I double the recipe to do the full layer of graham crackers in my jelly roll pan.
Directions:
Put mixture in a saucepan and stir constantly. The mixture will combine when it starts to boil. Lay a solid layer of graham crackers in a jelly roll pan. Pour the boiled mixture over the crackers in the jelly roll pan. Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes. lay out on wax paper to cool.
There are many variations to this recipe. Some people add nuts to the tops but I like them just plain myself.

A twist that my Aunt used to do with this recipe was to sprinkle some chopped maraschinos, nuts and/or coconut overtop. And then drizzle some melted chocolate over all. Makes it pretty ... and even more addictive!

Fool's Toffee
This sounds like Fool's Toffee. I love it and it is very easy to make. I make it with saltines but you can use graham crackers also.
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
36 saltine crackers
12 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. crushed walnuts (optional)
Spread an 11x15" cookie sheet with foil. Place crackers close together to form bottom layer. In small saucepan, place butter and brown sugar, heat to boil 4 minutes. Spread evenly over crackers. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove, sprinkle with chocolate chips evenly over top. Wait a few minutes, then spread with spatula. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool in refrigerator or freezer. Break into pieces. Best stored in the refrigerator.

Yes, I have a very similar recipe, it's called "Graham Breakaway" (From Kraft)
<O12 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, broken in half (24 squares)
<O1/2 cup butter or margarine
<O3/4 cup packed brown sugar
<O1 cup BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks
1/2 cup finely chopped PLANTERS Pecans
<OMake It
<O</OHEAT oven to 350°F.
<OARRANGE graham squares in single layer in 15x10x1-inch pan.
BRING butter and sugar to boil in medium saucepan on medium heat; cook 1 to 2 min. or until butter is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently. Pour over grahams; immediately spread to completely cover grahams.
BAKE 6 to 8 min. or until topping is lightly browned and bubbly. Top with chocolate; bake 1 to 2 min. or until melted. Immediately spread chocolate over grahams. Sprinkle with nuts; press lightly into chocolate with back of spoon. Cool completely before breaking into squares.

Prepare using PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts.

Here is a picture of my Graham Toffee Bars cooling. I like to sprinkle the wax paper with graham crumbs so the cookies don't stick to the wax paper. There are always a few broken cookies in the package and I use my rolling pin to crush them. The double recipe did 2 pans (1 whole pkg. Graham's) Do they look like the ones you are looking for?
