I got the styrofoam & the cupcake pans at Michaels with a coupon so these cost less than $2 each to make. I have seen sturdy foil & cardboard cupcake pans at the cake decorating store. Enjoy!

If I'm doing them for everyone I like to keep the cost under a dollar but maybe I could make a few and have drawings throughout the retreat. Yeah, that would work. These are adorable. I think Hancocks even has some "cherry" buttons that I could put on top or get some pins with colored heads and stick them in for "sprinkles". I also might add some beany baby beans in the bottom of the cup for stabilizing weight. I'm excited, I can't wait until Monday when I go shopping.

Are the pincushions your own idea, or did you "borrow" it from someone else? I just love them!! I'll have to make some for my quilting friend! 8-)

There are a lot of cupcake pincushions out there. I made up my own version, inspired by those Wilton cupcake liners. I wanted a simple solution. You can add your own touch, trims, buttons, whatever.
