1885 15-1 Singer purchase
I just purchased a 1885 Singer 15-1 today. She has been shined and polished and purrs like a kitten. I just wanted to share my joy. She resides in a 'newer', relative to her age, suitcase 'cabinet'. A motor and light were added but I may take them off to add a hand crank. I just don't know if I want to add an after market handle. I can keep the motor and light for my other purchase this week, a Singer 15-90. He was in worse condition than the old gal. He was very dusty, full of lint, feed dogs were filthy. It's amazing what a little cleaning will do. He is now all shiny and resides in an almost perfect cabinet.
