Bought one brought home two.
I went to pic up a Golden Star treadle for $50 and the seller sold me the White treadle for $20. Unfortunately the seller coated the Golden star in some kind of furniture oil right before I got there. All he would tell me is that it was like Murphy's oil. Machine and treadle are a wet oily mess right now. I wish I had gotten there about ten minutes earlier. On the bed of the White the dirty shellac is pealing away revealing perfect paint under neath. That much pealed away on the trip home.

Blech. I feel your pain. I get machines home like this and say to no one in particular, " Well, now I have to make this right..." and thus begins several dozens of hours restoring. Post follow up pics and let us know what you decide to do Good luck!
