Brand New and Already Need Info If Possible!!!!!
Hi Everybody
I'm brand spanking new to this site and I'm amazed at all the info here. I'm a member of a couple of other quilting and sewing sites.
This past weekend my mother gave me a 1952 Premier Sewing Machine. It's a dark green with etched plates on front and back with a built in lamp on the back. I can't find a lot of info on it. I do know it was made over seas and supposedly suppose to be heavy duty.
If anyone can give me any info on it I would appreciate it. I'm really looking forward to spending hours here catching up on all the great info.
Here are some pics of the machine:

You have a totally awesome 15 Clone!! (aka, "Japanese 15") My guess would be that it's late 40's, early 50's, because of the body shape, and the simularity to the Singer decoration.
I'd LOVE to find a green clone like that...you will use "regular" 15x1 needles, any short shank attachment.
Congrats!

Thanks everybody for your replies. I'm excited to get it. There are some friends of hers that run an RV park. There was a couple renting one of the trailers there and just moved out and left all of their stuff. That was like a year ago. The owners of the park finally decided they weren't coming back. So they are cleaning out the trailer so that they can rent it again. Now my mom's friends say there is an old Singer there and they are going to bring that to her also.
Thanks for the link to the Vintage Yahoo Group. I'm going to join that and see if I can find out more about this machine.
