Can anyone tell me anything about this machine. I figured out how to thread it but do not know anything else about it like how to adjust the tension. I do know it is only straight stitch and zigzag. Does anyone know when they made these?

I agree with Candace...probably 1970s machine. It may still have mostly metal gears, which would be a bonus! I think the large dial (top one) on the column is the stitch length, and the bottom lever thing is the zigzag width. If you go on the Brother web site you might find a manual for it. It might do all kinds of neat things....that little button on the bed near the column might do something worth finding out about.

The button in the center says stretch stitch. The little push button you push for zig zag or no zig zag. I am finding out more. The gears are all metal and the machine its self is. I will update when I find anything else. If anyone else has anything on it please let me know. I am probably just going to sell it. I have all singer machines. My sewing room is to small. I have 4 other machines and three of them are in cabinets and then a long sewing table. Not enough room. Thanks for all your help.

I believe this is the threading instructions for your machine. http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diag...ng_diagram.htm
