Gold on iron?
I seem to remember if the iron had been repainted that the word singer in the very front was originally gold. What about the singer logo on the sides and the other wording around it? I thought I would use some antique gold or something maybe with a little black or dark brown mixed in, so it isn't bright or gaudy looking. If it is appropriate for these to be gold also.

Thanks, Cheryl

It depended on the cabinet, but yes, on most of the cabinets, the word "SINGER" was in gold, as was the logo portion of the side irons.
I'd use antique gold, and then use a black or dark glaze over that if it's too bright.
