I too, have an 1130 and purchased it after seeing it at the FL State Fair the year it was introduced. I ordered one and had to wait months for it to arrive. It was the first one sold in our county. Over the years, I purchased most of the feet that were available while I was working and could afford them. I love the machine to the extent that I paid $400 for it to be repaired after two so called techs "fixed" it. The second one destroyed it. I love sewing on it and it is a superb machine. It was well worth the wait and it is well worth the money to repair it. I hope that it lasts as long as I live...maybe another 20 years based on my mom and 2 grandmothers ages at death (in their 90's). I use it for piecing, fmq and sewing clothing. I have a Singer VS2, 99, 66, 316, 305 and several Domestic, White and New Home machines and a Pfaff 2170 for embroidery.

I remember my mom being super excited when it came to her bernina shop. Lol it was right after her old kenmore died. So i grew up listening to her sew on the machine. She quilts a lot. :-) mom is very protective of her baby. :-) so much so that she bought a cheapy machine for my brothers and i to use when we were in home economics. My older brother claimed that plastic singer. Hahahaha. My first machine i bought was a kenmore model 50. ;-) simple machine built to last. Two stitches straight and zig zag.

it has a wonderful stitch and all kind of feet .I find I use it more than my other machines.
I wish I had a user manual so I could use the fancy stitches but havent found one yet

Great score on that 1130! If I knew where my manual was, I would send it to you but after having the machine for so long, I seem to have misplaced it. If you have a particular question, PM me and I'll try to help. The little window lights up with the number of the correct foot to use when you select a stitch.
