I got another one!
DH saw a singer with wood cover on Craigs List. It's definitely not a featherweight. This thing is heavy! It was manufactured in 1925. Would you believe it still runs and the light even turns on. The singer logo on the front of the case still looks good. The motor runs smooth and the needle runs smoothly by turning the wheel, I just need to order a new belt and replace the wiring for plug before I electrocute myself or burn down the house. Paid $125. Hope that was a good price. . Sooner or later I'll probably collect a featherweight if there are still any around.

Plenty of Featherweights around...just look at eBay...at least a dozen pages of listings. Prices have come down some over the last 2 years, so I wouldn't pay much more than about $200 for one, depending on condition.
You may have gotten a 99 if it's a 3/4 one.....
