OMG I can not stop myself! Bought another machine!!!! HELP
I just can not seem to stop myself! I do not need another one but this was just too cute! Paid $45 and it just needs a bobbin case. Any ideas on how to remove permanent marker off? they marked the thread path and I would prefer it not be marked. And if you have any helpful hints on how to restrain yourself I would greatly appreciate it

no restraint needed that is an Awesome machine. Vikings are kinda like Volvo's..... Maybe Volvo S..... Solid, and they usually have a "step down" mechanism on the right side near the bottom. on mine is a a 5:1 stepdown for the motor. mine will sew through anything i fit under it other than thick metal.

You can pull the handle out for slower sewing but I do not know the ratio

Ok, to get the permanent marker off, try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser--I would think it would do the trick without damaging the finish. You might want to try it on the underneath side first to make sure. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is a nylon scrubber and dawn dishwashing liquid, but am not totally sure.
