Owner's Manual - Dressmaker SS2402
After four very long and painstaking years searching, I finally have the owner's manual for the Dressmaker SS2402 sewing machine in my hands and so far, it's been an eye-opening experience.
First and foremost, I still do not know the manufacturer of this machine, but I do feel this is one made in Japan. That said, the full name of this machine is the De Luxe Zig Zag Sewing Machine SS 2402.
For whatever reason, this manual does not have a copyright year, so I still cannot attest to the age of the machine.
Manual comes with complete threading diagram, bobbin threading diagram, oiling diagram and where exactly to clean the machine. It does not give stitch lengths or stitches per inch, but will sit down and write that out in a few days.
This machine can be used for free motion embroidery, I would assume free motion quilting is in the realm of possibilities, I have not tested that yet, but will as soon as I can.
It feels so good to have this manual - finally!

Here's a bit of information that I found out about the Dressmaker. Hope this helps you.

Also, not long ago I ran across this man's site. His name is Michael Anderson and his shop is in New Hampshire & has been in business since 2001. From what I can tell, he's very knowledgable in all things dealing with sewing machines.

I am posting a picture of the actual machine that the manual goes to, for clarification. If you have this machine and looking for answers, please private message me and we will discuss it there, that'll keep the boards clean for others.

Is your machine a Stretch Stitch Dressmaker Model SS-2402?
There is a manual for sale on ebay right now but the manual cover does not look like the one that Railroadersbrat posted so I'm not sure if this is the manual you are looking for.

I have this Dressmaker. It sews beautifully, but I haven’t looked for the model #. The machine was given to me for the motor to be used on another, but I hesitate to do so. I do not have any cams for the decorative stitches, but would love to find the set. I’ve searched only once…life keeps getting the way. I LOVE the blue and white!
