A reminder of the past from the past ...
We were out in the garage looking through my wife's craft and sewing supplies boxes when we found this:
This is the banner for my wife's craft business. We figure it's at least 17 years old. I remembered it, but told my wife I had nothing to do with making it. She said she didn't make it either. Then it dawned on us. My mom had made it for my wife.
My mom was like that, very creative. She used felt and what I'm pretty sure is super glue I bought for her when I worked at an auto parts store in Phoenix.
It's been folded up for as long as we've been in IL.
Since the red edging looks like it was bug chewed I'm thinking of carefully stitching the appliques on with matching thread and replacing the edging with some sparkly red felt and metallic red thread we bought a couple Christmases ago.
I told my wife she needed to hang it during her craft shows as it is a home made item.

How precious is that? It is certainly a keepsake, especially since it was made by Joe's mother and a reminder of wife's craft business. (sorry, I don't think I've seen Joe's wife's name here.)

Kitsy,
My wife's name is Elaine, she posts under my name occasionally.
I started last year on the SewingForum.com { http://sewingforum.com/forum/index.php }
last year and was there until it was killed by spammers. They finally got it back up but it's still pretty much dead.
While I was waiting for it to recover I PM'd another member and he suggested Stitcher's Guild Sewing Forum { http://artisanssquare.com/sg/index.php } so I went there. While there I was trying to research my HOTHER machine and I was directed to lostin51's thread about the 15 clones. Been here since.
Prior to the sewing forums I have been on many shooting forums since 99. I've always used J Miller or a very close variation of that name. J_Miller, J Miller45, or JMiller. So I've been on the internet forums for quite a while.
Perhaps you've run across my J Miller somewhere else ....... maybe.
