Singer 301
#2
Holy Moly! How did that wonderous thing happen? In the greater Los Angeles area there must be 301 and 221 stalkers perched on any and every possible place like Snoopy on his dog house, waiting to pounce on any available machine that comes to light!

Congrats!
I got mine at an estate auction last summer. It came with a case that had to be trashed (too much water damage), some feet, and the original instruction booklet. I paid $2.00!!! (I was the only one that bid! LOL)
I love my 301...even better than my computerized Viking, purchased new, and my Singer featherweight (also bought at an auction).

I occasionally stop into this consignment shop and they actually had 3 sewing machines, and this was the least expensive, the other singer, which is newer than this one, was 24.99 and there was something in a cabinet that I couldn't see because there is a tv on top of it, anyway that was 29.99, aorlflood, wow 2.00 is super de duper! My dh and I go on cheap date nights, and one evening we stopped into a little auction and he bought me a ring for 3.00 (cheap date night), it turned out to be worth $400.00 and it was a diamond ring.
