Holy cow, a sears kenmore model 1914 is going for over $400 on eBay, with 26 bids. I have that machine all those accessories upstairs in my sewing room. Knew I should keep that machine and not get rid if it when I bought a plastic wonder, lol!!

Whoa Nellie is right Caroline! My dad bought me that machine on 7/5/77 for $349.99, I still have the original receipt. My Dad always believed in buying the best, thanks Dad! Nice to see the machine still has value and people still want it.

Hmmm. I think I will put that Kenmore model on my mental watch list. Amazing that it is sort of like a classic car, it still has appreciating value.

Were there words like industrial, heavy-duty, sunbrella, boat tarps, leather, etc. in the title or description?

That's a really popular model. I found a thread at one point I think on Pattern review where they were talking about it. Pretty much universally loved, and considered one of the best "Kenmore" ever made. I had one here, it was a nice machine, if a little complex with the cams (the part where you could change how it looked by adjusting a lever or dial or two), but otherwise very newbie friendly too.

I've seen remains of the Titanic with less rust.
