There is White treadle in pretty cabinet right here in town for $50. Both look like they clean up well, but I'm out of space for treadles.

Cathy, do you have belts? Wires? You need to send us a catalog or something.

Did Charlee disappear?
What? would you rather have ORANGE??? Melinda, it looks yellow and says Brother and it's reasonably old - nice lines. It is buried in The Pile - there are 40 machines and cabinets in my van - unloading tomorrow - afraid to open the back door. Then we go get the rest on Tuesday. All machines but one are electric - it looks like my Vindex Special but it isn't - not in great shape. I did see a 99, a couple 66s - one redeye one not - some 15s with potted motors maybe a 201, a 301 in a cabinet!!! a couple Touch and Sew, a couple newer Singers, quite a bit of godzilla, some clones, some Kenmore, some odd things or another and who knows what else. There were cases I never opened - I just put them on the truck. I am very excited and very exhausted. We had to take machines out of cabinets and then knock down cabinets to get it in our van. The drive was through southern Indiana - a good 2 1/2 hours and windy hilly roads. (Nowhere to stop for a potty break - NOWHERE.... Next time I'm going to throw in a couple Attends unless the corn gets up by Tuesday.) The stuff still there is apart so will save time and easier to get in the van. I hope it all goes in. Some of the machines turn. Some don't turn. I did burn 3 cabinets - particle board with pretty good mold. I found mouse nests in a couple. There are a couple cabinets I have been wanting to see for a long time. Phil says he found one black Necchi in there - I never saw it. I wish you all lived close - we could have quite a party (or yard sale) I'll make pizza... Glenn will have to keep his phone handy to tutor the finish work... I was surprised how excited my husband was about all of it. He was having a pretty good time. I hope I can figure out which attachments go where and which machines go with which cabinet when all is done. All will need oil and cleaning of course. I didn't bother bringing the 50 bowling balls, or the 20 bags of golf clubs or hundreds of folding chairs.... etc. etc. etc. I know pictures soon.

The bees around where I live are out being busy bees. My husband and I like to take daily walks with dog around the neighborhood. In our recent walks, we have noticed swarms of bees busy at work on all the the trees that are in bloom. While standing under a Eucalyptus, we noticed this loud buzzing and thought what is that noise. We walked further on and noticed a swarm of bees at a decorative cherry tree. I am happy to see swarms of bees since the bee farmers that ship bee all across the nation are claiming that their colonies are disappearing. Maybe those bees are smarter than we think, and the colony is going elsewhere. I'll welcome the bees!!!

thanks Nancy, we are getting the house painted this week and next and doing gardens while the painters are here. We are having a big problem with bugs in the veg and also the rose garden this year. Was not cold enough to kill a lot of them this year. We did get the annual out last week end.

Lucky me today!! I stopped by a yard sale, and always ask, "You don't have any sewing machines do you?" Well, the answer today was good, for me anyway. "No, I have an old one that I didn't even put out. I am going to just throw it away. Nobody wants old sewing machines." So I ask to see it, and it is yet another pink Atlas, with the Atlas motor and foot control as well. I offered to haul it off, matter of fact, told her I collected them and what would she take for it(can't offend the sewing machine karmaa by lying), and she said I could just have it. The bed has some scars from being used, but is sewable for sure. I like to see a machine that has been used and imagine what all it has sewn anyway. The case was trashed, but I am going to try to salvage it, since it is the Atlas case. My other one did not have the top, so I am excited. Now I have 3 pink sewing machines.
And Joe, I agree, 3 is a collection. So I need to find one more toy sewing machine!
