Since I haven't put any scratches on my little red Honda Fit, I'm thinking some of Skip's paranoia was the size of my car plus we bought so much stuff there was almost nowhere for him to sit back there.
BTW Skip, I sold that pink machine we were fighting over.

Ok, I went to a Sewing Social last night planning to do some thread play free motion work on a Christmas wall hanging. I got all my stuff out, threaded my Pfaff 360 - which is the best FM machine out there in my opinion! I started to sew . . . . and had a thread mess. I had to rip out what I had sewn. Tried again after checking the thread path - again a thread mess! I took out the bobbin case. The bobbin case was missing the tiny screw that sets the tension! Somehow that screw had fallen out since I used that machine last month at the same social doing FM work! What a weird thing to happen! I have never had the screw just disappear from a bobbin case! I fixed it this morning robbing the screw off a BC that doesn't go to any of my machines . . . it came with some attachments I bought on e-bay. I guess from now on, I will take a back up machine!

Nancy, I would start by taking off the foot pressure release mechanism. It looks to me like it has to come off to get the top off anyway. It should be the start. Is there a screw or some kind of fastener on the underside of the neck or near the needle bar that holds the face on? If so, try loosening them to see if they do anything. ~G~ p.s. LOOK! there is a pink controller in that pic!

Miriam that 15-30 would be a great condidate for a do-over red paint job!
Cathy, I had never heard of the Happy Sewing Machine company until now! You are such an asset to this group!
