thanks for looking. I have not done any research on this as yet but hope to and I also need to see about getting a foot pedal and a sewing manual which were not with the machine.

That is a 306, and it uses special 206x13 sy2029 needles. DON'T use 15x1 needles. Nice machine, very heavy duty. Second zig zag that singer made. 206 was the first. It also uses flat cams. You must run the machine with one on the side of it. I have one and love it. Enjoy!
