OK I can't take a picture - so I will describe it. Bentwood case, 3/4 size, made in Great Britain. Serial # Y1589694. It has a broken light on it. Has the knee bar. No stitch length #-just a thumbscrew . Help please and thanks.

The bobbin is round with slightly "domed" appearance. Only came with the one bobbin. I do believe it is an older 99 and haven't been able to find a site where I can download a machine manual for it. Can anyone steer me to a site that will let me download a manual? I have never seen a plain tension and no stitch length regulator except on my old treadle. Need to read more about the machine. The cloth under the needle showed a very nice straight stitch. Also want my electrician to check it out before I try to plug it in. No cover at the end of the one plug and you can see bare wires. The machines decals are in very nice shape and she looks like she will be fun to sew with. She is sitting on the kitchen table by my featherweight visiting!! Thanks for the responses.

Your 99's serial number was allotted December 1923.
A manual can be downloaded here: http://www.sew-classic.com/uploads/99K.pdf
If I were you, I wouldn't let your featherweight and your 99 sit too close together. Next thing you know they will want a big sister.
