Also, that White Rotary takes a normal 15x1 needle that most all machines take today! Some of the vintage Whites take a much harder to find needle, but not this one! I'd use a Schmetz Univeral. They work great with the vintage machines.
Also, if I remember right, the HW turns the opposite way that a Singer turns. It goes away from you - check the manual!

BoJangles - thank you! I just got back to this (taking classes full time, so my time is limited), but I bookmarked the manual and hope to have some time next week to play around with it some. I'd love to do some piecing on it!
