Vintage White machine

Vintage White machine
Saturday, I picked up a vintage White sewing machine for $75. From what I can tell the serial number is 1X774, which I think means it was made in the mid-late 1920's. It's in a cabinet, with a case full of attachments. HELP! How do I clean/oil it? How do I take the bobbin out, fill and load it? Are there ANY manuals out there ANYWHERE about this really cool machine???
I think I got a good deal, even if it is just a display item, but I was told it is operational. Anybody???

Teri, you have a White Rotary Electric Crinkle Embossed Black machine. I have one just like it. You are lucky to get the machine complete - parts are hard to find for that machine. Here is a manual you can download for free. That machine is a little tricky to thread - it will take a little practice to figure it out, but with the manual you can get it going. The bobbins are different from any Singer bobbins, and they load differently. My machine is a 1931 model. Remember, electricity was not common in most homes until the late 1920's! http://www.singerco.com/uploads/down...c-book-13-.pdf
