Be careful on that trip Billy. UPS can ship any machines for you that you might find in your journey. If you decide to come thru Ohio let me know and I would love to meet you somewhere. I know Cleveland is out of your way but, I have a Jeep that loves to go places. (Loves to haul sewing machines too)>

Over the hills to Hillsboro is the story of an Northeastern family who plotted the bicyle trip from East to West...until they wore out or broke down. They called it quits in AZ...and flew back home. Colorado will allow you to ride in the right side of the interstate highways, but NE will not. Good luck to you!!! In fact Colorado has the Olympic training team in Denver and all kinds of bike trails there. If a motorist hits a bike, there I am told, they are in BIG trouble.

Have a great trip! I live just west of Indy and have spent many hours on two wheels, so I'm well familiar with the cycling around here. It's not too bad, nice and flat. :) You might actually cross paths with the RAIN (Ride Across INdiana) folks! They'll be riding from the IL to OH state lines on the 16th, mostly on US40.

Are you going to be keeping a journal on crazyguyonabike.com?

Do you have any idea how much fabric you could stash with that 3500.00 and not nearly as tough on the tush.

Billy, good luck on your journey! I personally think you might have been a little too close to some solvents or something while cleaning a machine????

And then that east to west coast idea! Wheewwweee! How long do you expect that to take?

My husband and I are both cyclists and that sounds exciting although perhaps a bit challenging.(a century a day!) If you would like you could pm me we might possibly be on your route and might be able to synchronize our schedules. As far as your coast to coast trip most people travel west to east so they have the wind to their advantage. Good luck and be careful.
