this machine is very easy to move, just like a domestic. This one was obviously well used (but NOT abused) and the smoothness is a result of that. Dimensional "slop" is almost non-existent. Once cleaned up it just about free wheels.

Seems like vintage industrial machines I've had would treadle easy since they turn very easy - they are built for speed.

Boy howdy!!! and with the 5:1 drive ratio this one sure does zip right along. when I put it in 4.5 spi mode and got it up to speed, the card stock went out of the machine before I could grab it! I deleted the video I took last night because of this.... it shows me running it with nothing under the foot (a no no I do not want to appear to approve of) when it was just free wheeling after I stopped pedaling and my hands were too full of camera to stop it in time

Those 16" (15.5") flywheels are a blast, and not easy to find since so many were tossed when it became common to electrify. Nice machine, Steve.

Well, with Cathy's (Mizkaki) help we got the timing set and the beast sews beautifully. Single layer of hand cloth, no problem, two layers of outdoor upholstery vinyl, no problem, linen + 1/2" foam + heavy nap fabric, NO problem.
