1890 Singer
Good afternoon from England! I’ve recently bought an antique singer sewing machine after my missus wanted a machine to work on and we both love the antique look. It was a bit rough when I got it but have since cleaned it up and is all running well (as far as I know, I don’t really know much). I’ve done a little bit of research from the number on it and from what I could find it’s from 1890 and is an ‘Improved Family’ model, I’m not sure if this is all correct or not though. I was hoping you could all help me out with any more information on this model or if I’m wrong in what I’ve found out?

Both modern cameras and phones take very large photos. (My phone takes large photos, but they have lousy resolution.) What you have to do is reduce the resolution (Most computer screens can't display over 96 dpi anyway.) or the size of the photo (usually expressed in inches). Any of several computer programs will reduce the resolution on a digital photo. I use an old Microsoft program called Picture It! to reduce mine. You can also use Paint, a program that comes with Windows. It's under Windows Accessories. I usually reduce the resolution, not the size of the photo. I use 96 dpi, and don't have any trouble posting them to any site I use, including this one.
