201 on a frame?

The 201 is a great machine, but I would not use it on a frame because of the way the bobbin assembly is done. First, it is a horizontal bobbin, not great for quilting, especially fmq, in my experience. Second, if thread gets caught in that bobbin, it can be a real bear to clean it out and put it back together so it works right. Not something I would want to do in the middle of a line of stitching. Also, the harp is not that big. It is a heavy machine. Another reason I wouldn't use it is that mine (at least) is very finicky about thread. It wants a size 50 or thinner, and that is not the normal thread I would want for quilting. I could use size 50, but size 40 would be stronger and it does not like size 40 quilting thread.
I know people who use various model 15s on a frame and are happy with them despite the small harp.
