201 tension problems

Well, it says:
When the needle holder descends,
it will stop the machine action. If
the screw is really stubborn, do
not persist. You are in danger of
spoiling the timing of the
machine.
So, ok, this is probably what happened. It wasn't stubborn, stubborn ... but it was a little hard to turn. I can't actually get the feed dog off this machine, the right side screw is stuck.
There's nothing on these pages about fixing it though. Just DANGER.

Yes, that's why I was saying if you need to re-time, we'll walk through it. I promise, it's not that hard.
Have you checked it yet? Perhaps it's not even a timing issue?
Have you marinated it in tri-flow? The screw for the Feed dog, I mean. I often do that with stubborn screw then try again the next day after we've both had a time out.

The link I posted here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post6630195 will show you how to check it. Don't use the photo, use the description

I still haven't seen the hook to needle relationship though. The line on the needlebar is one part of the equation.
When the line on the needlebar is at the spot you show, on the upswing (it will be there on the downswing too, but we don't care about that one), the point of the hook should be right behind the eye of the needle. (THe eye will be a little higher, but left to right it will be right behind it)
Where is the hook point when the timing line is where you've shown it to us?
Additionally, your tension spring isn't sitting right. It should be resting on that rest at 9 o'clock. It's currently resting at between 10 - 11oclock

I've looked at your blog 1800 times Tammi. I don't understand what the text is referencing. Unfortunately I'm a super visual literal person and the text is just telling me something is wrong, but I can't see what that is.
Thus I can't apply it to my machine.. I'm tricky.
I have reexamined the spring in the tension compared to the tfsr manual again. The spring tail (that goes into the gear) is in a different location then the manual. Can that be a problem?

Also for your viewing pleasure, the IDK what I'm looking for area. Somebody give me arrows.
