Default 4 Singer 99s + 1,000 kids = great fun

3 of us gave our 99s a workout when 1,000 kids came through the Ks History Museum for KS day. Went through several bobbins as they kids sewed bookmarks. Sometimes family or teachers would take a spin, too Some kids snuck back to do it again. We always take an extra machine so we can grab another if a bobbin runs out during a rush. All were handcranks.

Love seeing kids with sewing machines! If only one (and probably way more than one will) continues on sewing after this experience then you have done a great job. You are a great missionary for the sewing community.

I have a good time with it. One little girl did a great 1/4" seam just eyeballing it. I said, "You've done a bunch of sewing already." She grinned and said, "Two quilts and other things." I told her how Impressed I was. She beamed.

Our third helper, ( GF's grandson) is 21 and had ignored the sewing machines around her place. We gave him a crash course and he had a good time. He also had lots of questions for us. We'll have to let him play with a treadle next.
