9 patch on it's way

This is me laughing very hard. Those red and blue fabrics have been a nightmare to match to anything else. Hours of digging in the stash! So of course I have lots of both. I used them because I had prepped them and cut squares for what will probably be my first full project and still have plenty to spare. The blue is not so bad, but that red is a beast!
The other two blocks are bright and fun, green with purple and green with orange. And not quite as straight. I hope that they'll be nicer after I press them to heat set the ink. I have learned how much thorough starching makes a difference in the end product. So much learning today!

I am so glad Ashlea will be getting first blocks some of you have ever made. That will mean a lot to her. She is really going to love this quilt. In June, I taught her to use a sewing machine. she made a quilt block she was so pleased.

Rodney,
My block will go in the mail late Monday. Had a class all day yesterday so couldn't get it in the mail then. Sorry! Not sure I know how to post photo but am trying. Not sure either why it comes up so big when it is only 449 kb. Sorry about the size being so large.
