The quilt looks great! I hope my blocks made it ok. I finally had a chance to read this entire thread and it's been very moving. What a grand group of people! Best Wishes to Ashlea on her recovery.

The quilt is looking great! Rodney, you have done a terrific job. It's a wonderful thing you started, and I'm proud of each and every one of you who contributed to this quilt! It is also a monumental task to put together quilt blocks from so many different quilters! I believe there was only one man who walked this earth who was perfect, and they nailed him to a tree!

Earthwalker sent a little piece of fabric with the Australian national flower on it for Rodney to do something with. He sent it to me and I used every bit of it - I added 2 more squares and made a tote for Ashlea. I cut 14 inch squares - 3 outside and 3 to line it. I think quilt as you go might work for this pattern.

I embellished one side but I didn't want to put too much on it to distract from the flower fabric.

Miriam that tote looks wonderful....love how you embellished it. I am so happy that little piece of fabric could be useful, and that Ashlea will have a little bit of Australia with her on her road to recovery.

Just a quick update. I think all the packages are in now. Olivia and I did some more work over the weekend. No pictures yet but I'm about 1/2 way through making the main body of the second side. Also, I may have already mentioned this but Cari-in-Oly made a very nice label for the quilt on one of her embroidery machines.
