Thank you for the kind words. I'm meeting up with Roserips tomorrow. She's going to help spray baste the quilt and teach me to free motion quilt. Both are things I've never done so it's going to be a good day.

Rodney,
The kind words are well deserved. You have done a wonderful job -- the quilt is perfect and manifests the love that we fellow-humans have for each other. Love helps heal the heart and the body, so this quilt sends a perfect message to Ashlea! So glad you've done this! Thank you!

Roserips helped me spray baste the quilt today and gave me a few lessons on free motion quilting. I intend to do the quilting on my Rodney machine and will get it set up and practice a bit more before I quilt the actual quilt tomorrow.
It would have been a much more difficult process without her help.
Thank you Roserips for taking the time to help me and teach me the right ways to do this!

Rodney, I make up a batch of quilt sandwiches usually about 12"x12" to practice FMQ on. They help me "go with the flow" and importantly check the bottom stitches for eyelashes. They make good hot pads if you take two and bind them together. Also remember to relax those shoulders.
