    I thought I was dreaming.

Of course I almost tripped over myself getting out the door.

She had 4 machines in cabinets and a wrought iron treadle base w/o a machine.

One cabinet did not have a machine.

One cabinet contained a Sears sewing machine (not interested).
    .
One cabinet contained a 1970's Singer (not interested).

The last cabinet contained a Singer 201-2 (vintage 1950), including a zigzag attachment, a buttonhole attachment and lots of other attachments (all were contained in a red plastic onion bag of all things). Of course the 201 came home with me.

There was also a sewing box, the kind with the cantilevered drawers in it. Lots of goodies in there including two old style button hooks for button down shoes, sewing machine needles, sewing machine screw drivers, etc. The sewing box found its way into my vehicle.

Oh, the treadle base came home also.

Price for all the above: $0.00

    It was a nice day.

    Hey, Joe -

I seem to recall you might be interested in a bare treadle base. If you can come get it you can have the one I just picked up. It's not marked Singer - might be a White brand.

    I'm just outside Milwaukee, WI.

Oh boy howdy that would be a road trip and a half. LOL.

Well, to tell you the truth, I'm burried in machines and cabinets and paraphernalia. Gonna have to pass until we find a bigger home for our machines.

Boy can I relate to that comment!

The same lady was giving away a loft bed..... I was thinking of getting it, setting it up inside our garage and using the 'bed' part of it for storing my machines and using the 'study' area of it for a mini-workbench area. Hmm........
