Greywuuf, she is precious. Give her a hyg from another grandmother, and hope she keeps up the great work.

I just used my White FR treadle to sew through the hem of a pair of blue jeans. That's about 8 layers, plowed through it with no complaints.
I took a pair of hubby's jeans apart to make a cover for a Westie sized dog bed. Her housemate, the Chihuahua mix insists upon chewing on the edges of her bed and leaving the stuffing all over the floor. I'm hoping that this will slow him down. I also made a large pillow case from heavy denim yardage for the new bed for the Lab mix, he chewed a huge hole in her old bed. The blue jean cover is kinda like "There I Fixed it"! It looks bad, but hopefully will do the job. The new plastic wonder Pfaff couldn't handle the job, with out going very slow and making unhappy noises.

greywuuf, what a wonderful video, does she still sew? She was concentrating and really paying attention like a pro. I loved seeing the video!

Muv and Fav videos have wonderful info about long bobbins. Once you use one of those wonderful machines you will lose your phobia. Look in the sticky about cleaning up a machine or in the resource sticky or just look on Utube for Muv's and Fav videos. Muv's also has a blog and all sorts of info on the long bobbins. She also goes by Lizzie Lennerd. Maybe I don't have it spelled right somebody might correct if I am wrong. Anyway between her videos and her blog I'm sure you would learn to love and not fear the long bobbin.
