I have a Domestic Sewing Machine with the number 351228 and the last copyright date of May 16, 1876. My husband bought it at an auction. I have not found any information about this model. Any suggestions on where to look would be greatly appreciated. I would put a picture of it up if I could figure out how!

Welcome to Quilting Board.

The date of May 16, 1876 is the patent date, so you know it is not older than that. However, that could mean that it is several years newer than that. As you have found there is not the information available for dating these old machines like there is for Singer machines. Sometimes you can find people that have been trying to collect information, but that can be sketchy. I did find a machine at https://www.collectorsweekly.com/sto...-machine-model that kelsews said that it was made between "1909-1915" even though the last patent date was 1876.

A couple of links about Domestic machines can be found at http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.php/Domestic and https://www.kelsew.info/domestic/domestichome.html (the link for dating has not been made yet) and there are many models pictured at https://www.kelsew.info/domestic/domesticmodels.html

There is a recent post about posting pictures at Adding pictures I have been unable to use the "Go Advanced" button. I use the red "Reply" button that is the top and bottom of the page. My instructions are as follows:
We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

Another way to post pictures can be found at 2021/2022, 2.5” Birthday Swap
And how to use an ipad to post pictures can be found at Uploading photos

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.

Some additional notes about adding pictures --
Be sure to scroll to the far right of the screen to the "Upload" button
Do not preview your post after uploading the pictures.
