Default Aldens Zig Zag Super Deluxe Model 355

I joined the Aldens club, LOL. Another GW find. It needs a bobbin case, new belt and the left slide plate, parts which I have. It did come with a generic Super Zig Zag manual and attachments. The JA number is JA-16 and there is a model # on the back that is 65-4833-351-BH, Aldens, Chicago, IL. Sort of looks "Brother" to me.

The case needs some gluing and TLC, the machine needs cleaning. If she does not run, well I can always re-purpose the cord block and foot controller. The belt is one of those dratted cog belts that is in the process of self distructing. Will play with her tomorrow.

Brother's JA # is 3. I believe what you have there is a badged Morse which is a very nice find.

J-A 16 is Brother. I can also tell you it's a left homing machine that uses High Shank feet and accessories.

Look at the straight stitch needle plate in the box, see how the hole is to the left of center? That is where the needle goes when put to straight stitch.
