Default American Home sewing machine

Hello,
i have a black American Home sewing machine that looks like a Model 15 and made by Feather Manufacturing Company. I would like to know if its a clone or who made it.. I would appreciate some info on it

If it looks like/operates like a singer 15, then it's considered a clone. Chances are you will not know who made it for sure, as a certain machine made by X manufacturer was often sold under many names. If it was sold to sears, it might be a Kenmore. There was a name used by Western Auto. Montgomery Wards used Signature for their machines. Basically, most manufacturers put any name requested on their machines if the customer bought enough of them.

You might get a better answer if (1) you posted a photo and (2) either the moderator moved this to the vintage sewing machine group here on QB or you re-posted it there.
