    Rodney,

I have pictures of 15 clones in every letter of the alphabet except: J, L, O, Q, T, U, X, Y, Z. For many of the letters I have multiple names.

I've got to go over to Miriams "Will the real 15 clone please stand up" thread and steal any I can use from there.

Once I have all 26 letters represented I'll pic the best and do a thread on them.

    CD,

Thanks, I just put the pic in my collection.

    Mariposa,

It is. I like the blue ones. Now being the goofy person I am, I want a red one

I love that machine! I've seen one in action and she just hmmmmmmmd. Such a smooth sound...and nice stitching, too. Now I'm curious if this one had the little red thingy in the bobbin case.

Most of my 15 clones are really nice machines. A couple of them are a bit cranky, but as time goes by I'm getting them sorted out. Only took me two years to get my Edison squared away.

    Joe,
I can usually get close on the dates by the features, but this one is a little confusing. Machines with the scrolled face plate are usually earlier machines than ones with drop feed, and ones with the red thing are usually later than that. BTW, the red thing is also supposed to be an anti-thread jamming device. They weren't really very good at either intended use.
If you ever find an original red clone in the wild, let me know. Red is my favorite color and I've never seen one that wasn't a repaint.

    Cari,

So far I haven't seen a red one, original or a repaint, and no purple one either.
